Bridget Otoo, a Metro TV star, has slammed the Ghana Police Service and its chief, Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, over recent events. In an Instagram post, the popular TV personality stated that while the police chief was working hard to clean up the streets, his men were replacing criminals.
Her remark came in response to recent reports linking several police officers to a series of bullion van robberies that resulted in the death of Constable Emmanuel Osei.
She took to social media and wrote: “While IGP was arresting others, his boys were engaging in bullion van robberies”.
A swoop at a hideout resulted in the deaths of two Constables, No.58284 Constable Reindolph Gyimah Ansah and No. 53549 Lance Corporal Stephen Kwaku Nyame, who had previously been arrested in connection with the bullion van robberies. Cite the post below ;
